Sauna

I’d never had a sauna before but decided to give it a try as I’d read about the various benefits. Have to say it was a fantastic experience, very cosy and surprisingly good fun. Three hours sailed by and I felt great afterwards. Will definitely be doing it again and would highly recommend, especially in this particular converted horse-box, very cool indeed! - Rob

The sauna was a seriously indulgent highlight to the women’s retreat weekend. So nice to be super hot during February! The wooden interior has such an earthy feel & those seeking to ramp up the heat can sit at the very top. The vapor from the sizzling stones helped us breathe deep and promoted a true sense of calm & restoration - Kate

A recent trip to Hebden Bridge included a 2 hour sauna courtesy of Roots & Rocks. My past experiences of sauna have been those of the local leisure centre variety; generally windowless, airless rooms without a view. The Roots & Rocks experience couldn’t be more different! The rocks and wood fired stove combine perfectly to generate much heat and steam while the hills remained visible to us throughout. This was such a fun and unique experience, so different to any other place I’ve been before. Catherine is a fabulous host who ensured all our needs were catered for, I will definitely be visiting again! - Sarah

What an incredible experience! Having visited saunas before, this was something very special. A beautifully designed space encompassing nature and tranquility.
